03 / MEET THE HUMAN
The person behind TechEnlight.
Based in Sanford, North Carolina.
I’m the person who wants to know why it isn’t working—and what else it could do.
I’ve spent a lot of time with computers, complicated questions, and ideas that don’t fit neatly into one category. TechEnlight brings those interests together in a useful way: helping people solve problems and turn possibilities into something they can actually use.
During five years in retail at Circuit City, I gained experience taking complicated technology and explaining it in plain language to people with all levels of experience. That same approach shapes TechEnlight: meet you where you are, answer your questions, and help you understand as much as you want to learn.
My background also includes computer and electronic engineering coursework, hands-on Windows and Linux troubleshooting, web development, research, and archive recovery. I bring a careful eye for language, clear documentation, and creative thinking.
We can get technical when the work needs it. The explanation should still make sense. And if your printer seems to have developed a personality, we can talk about that too.

04 / A LITTLE MORE CLARITY
Have a different one?
I’m happy to hear it.
I’m based in Sanford, North Carolina. Local help is by arrangement. Website projects, writing, guidance, and many software questions can be handled remotely. We’ll confirm what fits your situation before scheduling.
That depends on what you need. We agree on scope and price before paid work begins, including any applicable taxes, parts, travel, hosting, or subscriptions. If the scope changes, we agree on the revised work and cost before going further. See how we work together.
Yes. If you’d like to learn, I can explain what I’m checking and walk you through the steps as we work. We can also arrange one-to-one tutoring for everyday technology. Prefer to leave the fixing to me? That’s fine too.
Yes. You don’t have to diagnose the problem or know the jargon. Tell me what happens, what you expected, and what you’d like to do. Questions are part of the process.
Absolutely. Research, an outline, or a small prototype can make an idea clearer before you commit to a larger project. That can include a website, a digital tool, a workflow, or a piece of writing.
As a tool for research, drafts, development, and exploration when it suits the work. Its output still needs human review and testing. We can discuss your preferences, including a human-only approach for writing, before starting.
A short description is enough to start. Leave out passwords and sensitive files. If access is needed, we’ll agree on what’s necessary and how to handle it. Recovery and repair depend on the device and material available; specialist work may sometimes be the better next step.
